The Odd Couple

Geneva Theater Actors Guild (GTAG) revisits the Neil Simon comedy classic...with a twist. The Odd Couple premiered on Broadway in 1965, advancing on to the silver screen and a long-running television series, but in 1985, Simon wrote an adaptation featuring the same story line but women -- Florence Unger and Olive Madison -- inviting friends over for a game of Trivial Pursuit instead of poker. The setting is a single dining room but the scenes are of different households and families overlapping and intertwining. However, the different families, existing in different time periods, all have possession of the same 1898 dining room furniture set. Admission is a $10 suggested donation with all proceeds going to Lake Geneva Food Pantry.
