Before “talkies” Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy made the country laugh with a series of silent shorts. In Double Whoopee, screen siren Jean Harlow plays a blonde bombshell in a ritzy hotel where Laurel and Hardy work. As a footman and a doorman, the comedy team wreaks havoc on guests including wardrobe malfunctions with Harlow’s character and elevator malfunctions with a Russian nobleman.

As was the custom in the 1920s, Frame will provide a live organ soundtrack and sound effects throughout the 20-minute film, in addition to playing a selection of songs.

The instrument Frame will play for these concerts is the traveling Allen organ used at Miller Park for Milwaukee Brewer’s games and for sporting events at the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena.

Discovering the theater pipe organ at age five, Frame is now a professional recording artist who entertains crowds nightly playing at the Milwaukee landmark, Piper Organ Pizza. He and his wife live in East Troy but Frame travels throughout the country performing and also maintaining historic theater organs.
